Palembang – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR), as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), participated in the 2023 Palembang Expo exhibition which was held in celebration of the 1340th anniversary of Palembang City.

The exhibition will last for four days from 15 to 18 June 2023 in the front yard of the Palembang Mayor Kambang Iwak’s official residence. Show 75 stands displaying various products from Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Palembang area, one of which is SMBR. In the previous year SMBR also participated in the same activity.

This year, SMBR brought 13 superior products from Rumah BUMN Baturaja fostered partners, including clothing and food typical of South Sumatra. Not to forget, various interesting activities and entertainment were also held by SMBR during the exhibition, such as games and sweepstakes, which succeeded in getting the enthusiasm of the visitors who attended.

This exhibition is a promotional event to display a variety of products made by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from Rumah BUMN Baturaja fostered partners.

On Sunday (18/6) at the closing session of the exhibition, the winner of the best stand category was announced, and SMBR won the 1st Place Best Expectation Stand award which was received directly by Gili Aprial Braja Senior Manager of SMBR’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).(*)

Through the TJSL Program, Semen Baturaja Supports the Development of TPS3R FT UGM to Overcome Garbage Waste

Yogyakarta – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a Subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) through the Environmental Social Responsibility Program (TJSL) provided financial assistance worth 100 million to support the “Joint Waste Eradication Program” in the construction of Waste Treatment Sites Reduce – Reuse – Recycle (TP3SR) to the Faculty of Engineering, Gadjah Mada University (UGM).

Palembang – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a Subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) was chosen as the best stand III for the BUMN category at the 2023 Sriwijaya Expo Event which was held at Jakabaring Sport City (JSC), Palembang City on 24 – Last May 28, 2023.

The award was given directly by South Sumatra Provincial Government Officials witnessed by the Deputy Governor of South Sumatra, Mawardi Yahya, who was received symbolically by SMBR Vice President of Marketing Kartha Kurniadi on Sunday (28/5).

The Sriwijaya Expo event is held annually by the Provincial Government of South Sumatra, last year SMBR also took part in the same event. Visiting the Baturaja Factory, SIG President Director Donny Arsal Invites SMBR Employees to Face Challenges with New Excellence

Palembang, 30 May 2023 – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) received a visit from the management of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) in Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra on Friday (26/5). This visit was in the context of friendly relations and strengthening post-integration synergies.

The visit was carried out by the Main Director of SIG, Donny Arsal, Director of SIG Supply Chain, Yosviandri, Director of Operations at SIG, Reni Wulandari, Director of Human Resources and General Affairs of SIG, Agung Wiharto and Director of Business and Marketing of SIG, Subhan and was received by the Main Director of SMBR, Daconi Khotob, Director of SMBR Operations Function, Suherman Yahya and Director of SMBR Finance & HR Function Rahmat Hidayat. At the event, the management of SIG and SMBR also planted New Crystal longan tree seeds (Dimocarpus longan) as an effort to protect the environment and reduce carbon emissions. Then proceed with visiting the SMBR mining area where reclamation and revegetation activities have been carried out using a silvicultural system, which is an innovation from the SMBR Beeyond Team in managing ecosystems in the post-mining land area as a habitat for Trigona bee colonies.

The green area resulting from the reclamation program grows many types of plants. The 30.14 hectare land in the post-mining area is a habitat for fruit trees, flowering ornamental plants, and plants with medium to tall trees. This type of ornamental plant which contains a lot of nectar and pollen is what bee colonies like very much, so the idea of using this plant as a habitat for Trigona beekeeping emerged.

Trigona bees or often referred to as kelulut bees, clancing, klenceng, or bells are one of the largest stingless bee genera. Trigona is a type of honey bee that is mostly kept traditionally by rural communities around forest areas.

Currently, SMBR’s Trigona beekeeping is 45 bee colony boxes and Alhamdulillah, Trigona honey production has reached 10-12 liters per 2-3 month period of harvest.
SMBR plans to empower experienced local beekeepers in the Baturaja area to develop this innovation. So that it is expected to be able to educate other communities to participate in beekeeping independently, and can become one of the activities that support the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Semen Baturaja Won Favorite Champion in the 77th Anniversary of South Sumatra Carnival

Palembang, 21 May 2023 – In commemoration of the 77th Anniversary of the Province of South Sumatra (Sumsel). The Provincial Government of South Sumatra held a Decorative Car Carnival on Sunday (21/5).

The carnival which was attended by each agency in South Sumatra including OPD, BUMN/BUMD and vertical agencies was released by the Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru at the yard of Griya Agung, Palembang City. The routes taken were from Griya Agung, Polda Intersection, Charitas Hospital Intersection and finished at the South Sumatra Governor’s Office.

Of the dozens of decorative cars that took part, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) was chosen as the first Favorite Champion. On that occasion, SMBR Manager of Public, Government & Media Relations (PGMR) Rian Alfiana Assega who attended the event after receiving a two-door refrigerator prize, said that for this carnival we decorated with the theme of Elephant, because this animal is an iconic symbol of SMBR.

“Elephants are known as strong animals and have extraordinary physical strength. Therefore, SMBR chose the elephant as its symbol to represent quality cement products and be able to provide structural strength and durability in construction projects,” added Rian.

Meanwhile, the Head of the South Sumatra Province Culture and Tourism Office, Aufa Syahrizal added, for participants there were 51 participants from OPD, BUMN/BUMD, vertical agencies and others.

“This event was held for the first time and was initiated by the chairman of the TP PKK of South Sumatra Province, Febrita Lustia Herman Deru. In the future, this activity is expected to continue to be held to maintain culture and tourism destinations,” he said.

Palembang, 15 May 2023 – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a Subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) through Rumah BUMN Baturaja held regional cooking training for UMK Foster Partners. This training was held at the Baturaja BUMN House on Monday (15/5).
The training was attended by 20 participants, the participants were taught basic cooking techniques and guided by resource persons who are experienced in the culinary field, namely Mrs.
This training taught about various types of pempek, such as pempek lenjer, submarine, adaan, and other pempek models. The participants also learned about proper dough processing, selection of quality ingredients, and how to produce the perfect pempek texture.
Meanwhile, one of the training participants, Yuliana, who is engaged in the culinary business, revealed that training like this was good and useful for MSEs to follow.

“I am very enthusiastic about this training, because we were taught from the start on how to choose quality ingredients for making pempek and then learn to process the right dough and produce delicious and delicious pempek,” said Regline.

Holding AGMS for Fiscal Year 2022, SMBR’s Net Profit Increases 103%

Jakarta, 8 May 2023 – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) held an Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) for Fiscal Year 2022 at the Sari Pacific Hotel, Jakarta on Monday (8/5 ) led directly by the Main Commissioner of SMBR, Franciscus M.A Sibarani.

At the AGMS, SMBR managed to record positive performance in the 2022 financial year by pocketing a net profit of IDR 94.83 billion, growing 103% compared to the 2021 period of IDR 46.7 billion. SMBR also agreed to distribute a dividend payout ratio of 20% with a total cash dividend value of 18.96 billion and the remaining 80% or IDR 75.86 billion to be designated as other reserves.

Main Director of SMBR, Daconi Khotob said that in 2022, SMBR was able to record sales volume growth of 4% to 2.01 million tons, even though the demand for cement nationally, especially in the South Sumatra region which is SMBR’s main market, has experienced a correction.

Not only that, SMBR also managed to record revenue throughout 2022 of 1.88 trillion, growing 7% compared to last year’s period. In terms of EBITDA, it was recorded at IDR 437 billion, growing 5% compared to 2021.
“This positive performance record is inseparable from the success of the Company’s strategic initiatives in 2022 which focus on three initiatives, namely Cost Leadership Through SMBRGO45 Program, Strengthen Market Positioning and Competency Improvement of Employees. This is the company’s flagship program in order to streamline costs in various fields and implement best practices in operations so as to achieve positive performance,” said Daconi Khotob.

Semen Baturaja Receives Sustainable Syndicated Loans Worth IDR 901.425 Billion from Four Banks

JAKARTA – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR), a subsidiary of SIG, signed a Syndicated Sustainability Linked Loan (“SLL”) Credit Agreement of IDR 901.425 billion with four banks, including PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk, and PT Bank HSBC Indonesia.

The signing was carried out in the Plenary Room of the SIG Head Office, South Quarter, Jakarta, on Tuesday (28/3/2023) by the Main Director of Semen Baturaja, Daconi Khotob; Head of Syndication & Corporate Solution Division of Bank BNI, Yogi Bima Sakti (as BNI Facility Agent); Head of Corporate Banking 3 Division of Bank BNI, Dipo Nugroho; SVP Corporate Banking 2 Group Bank Mandiri, Budi Purwanto; Deputy Head of Wholesale Banking PT Bank HSBC Indonesia, Dionisia Andrea Lachman; as well as SVP Corporate Banking of Bank CIMB Niaga, Putu Arimbawa and VP-Structured Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions of Bank CIMB Niaga, Rifan Arista.

The SLL Syndicated Credit Agreement for Semen Baturaja is in line with the Sustainability Strategy that has been set by SIG as a form of commitment to sustainability through the implementation of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles, and at the same time is part of a series of Sustainability Framework which was released by SIG on October 14, 2022 Then.

In the SLL Syndicated Credit Agreement, SIG will obtain credit of Rp. 4.15 trillion, while SBI will obtain credit of Rp. 2.74 trillion.

SLL is an existing syndicated bank loan refinancing scheme, without adding to the debt burden. Apart from being SIG’s commitment to decarbonization initiatives, SLL also provides the benefit of reducing interest margins compared to existing syndicated bank loans with better terms. More than that, SLL also has a positive impact on increasing ESG ratings, so that it can return SIG to the IDX ESG Leader Index and increase global and national investor confidence.

Improving Masonry Skills, Semen Baturaja Supports the Palembang City Construction Worker Competency Improvement Program Through BNSP Certification

PALEMBANG – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) supports the Palembang City PUPR Service in organizing Technical Guidance (Bimtek) and Competency Certification for Skilled Construction Workers for Palembang City this year. This activity is a fairly routine collaboration in the last few years between SMBR, the Palembang City PUPR Service and the Region II Construction Services Center to organize training and certification of masons in the City of Palembang.

The Bimtek which was held at Benteng Kuto Besak Field, Palembang City was attended by approximately 837 participants from various fields of construction. This activity took place from 13 – 18 March 2023 and was attended by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Palembang City, Ratu Dewa. Encouraging Innovation, Semen Baturaja Wins the 2023 BUMN Award in the Business Innovation Category

JAKARTA – Pushing Innovation, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a Subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) won the Best Business Innovation category II award at the 12th BUMN Award 2023. With the theme “Acceleration of Digital Transformation, Innovation and Business Recovery BUMN”.

The award was received directly by SMBR Vice President of Corporate Secretary Basthony Santri representing SMBR Management on Wednesday (15/3) at the Puri Agung Convention Hall Grand Sahid Jaya, Jakarta.

Basthony said that the company was able to achieve this achievement due to the consistency of the SMBR Management to continue to encourage business innovation, especially adapting to the current digital transformation era.

The BUMN Award, which was held by BUMN Track and supported by PPM Management, is an event to appreciate the performance of BUMN digitalization for business achievements and its impact on society. As well as the hard work of each SOE to continue to generate creative and innovative ideas to maintain business continuity in the endemic transition era.

“SMBR has increased the digitization of business processes by developing integrated applications and management support tools in managing the company, analyzing and making decisions as well as talent development programs.
