PALEMBANG – Commitment to Support the TJSL (Social and Environmental Responsibility) Program, PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) Won the Best TJSL 2022 award with Outstanding Social Economic Empowerment and Community Impact Category Infrastructure Services. This award was held by Warta Ekonomi Virtually on Thursday (29/09).

Senior Manager Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Gili Aprial Braja representing SMBR management received an award given directly by Muhammad Irsan CEO & Chief Editor of Warta Ekonomi.

“Through the TJSL program, we are always committed to playing an active role in encouraging the Indonesian economy, which focuses on supporting four pillars, including economic development, social development, environmental development, law and governance, which are pillars of sustainable development goals,” Gili said.

Gili added that one of SMBR’s TJSL programs includes providing working capital to foster partners of Rumah BUMN and distributing CSR as well as providing training and halal certification to improve competence and expertise for fostered partners.

SMBR has been running a reforestation program since 2017 through a silvicultural system, we have planted more than 10,000 trees in the Baturaja factory area and provided plant seeds to Adiwiyata School in OKU Regency.

Not only that, SMBR also provides social assistance to affected communities such as fire assistance, social assistance for flood victims, other social assistance to communities affected by disasters.

Improving the Brand Image of MSEs, Semen Baturaja Through Baturaja SOE House Holds Product Photo Training

BATURAJA – PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) through the Baturaja SOE House held a product photo training for fostered MSEs on Thursday (15/09) at the Baturaja SOE House.

This training invited the resource person, Supriadi, a photography practitioner who is also the OKU Local Government Public Relations Protocol. There are 14 MSEs fostered by Baturaja SOEs who participate in various variations of MSE products.

SMBR wants to develop MSEs’ skills in mastering photography and editing techniques in order to be able to produce attractive product photos before being marketed online. In addition, the content produced can also increase the brand image of MSE products in the eyes of consumers.

Supriadi explained that good and attractive product photos are one of the marketing techniques to attract consumers because this needs to be applied to all MSEs in order to compete in the current digitalization era.

Risal as the supervisor of the Baturaja SOE House said that this kind of training was a routine agenda held by Semen Baturaja through the Baturaja SOE House.

Caring for Humanity, Semen Baturaja Provides Aid for Fire Victims in Tuan Kentang Village

PALEMBANG – PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) through the SOE TJSL Program distributed assistance in the form of cash and basic necessities to fire victims on Jl. Aibtu A Wahab Lrg. Suka Damai I RT.08 RW.02 Tuan Kentang Village, Jakabaring District, Palembang City, on Monday (19/09).

This fire accident occurred on Wednesday (14/09) after maghrib time which had scorched 1 housing unit filled by 4 families.

This assistance was given directly by the Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Gili Aprial Braja together with the CSR Team to the fire victims with a total aid value of Rp. 5.000.000.- (in cash and food packages).

“The distribution of this aid is a manifestation of SMBR’s concern that it is always alert and ready to respond to a number of disasters in order to help and ease the burden on the community and the environment affected by the disaster through the SOE TJSL Program.” said Gili.

On behalf of Mr. Imron’s family, he would like to say a thousand thanks to SMBR who has really cared for their extended family who were affected by the disaster, may the company continue to be successful and progress and always be given abundant sustenance and blessings in running the company.

Staying as Market Leader in South Sumatra Region, Semen Baturaja Optimistic to Reach Target in 2022

PALEMBANG – PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) held an online Public Expose on Tuesday (13/09) to comply with Indonesia Stock Exchange Regulation Number I-E concerning Obligation to Submit Information. On this occasion, Daconi as the President Director of PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk explained the positive achievements that the Company has achieved throughout the half of 2022.

After the Covid-19 pandemic, the growth of the cement industry in Indonesia is getting better. The total demand for National Cement in Semester I/2022 reached 29.4 million tons, an increase of 1.2% compared to the same period the previous year. However, this growth was not in line with demand on the island of Sumatra, which actually fell by 1.6% (yoy).

In the midst of the decline in demand, SMBR was able to record sales volume growth of up to 5% (yoy) or 890,136 tons. SMBR cement sales from the retail segment increased by 4.9% and the project segment increased by 1.9%. In terms of composition, SMBR’s cement sales are still dominated by the retail segment as last year.

The sales volume growth boosted SMBR’s revenue and net profit which also grew positively. SMBR recorded a revenue increase of 8% (yoy) to Rp825.5 billion until June 2022.

“In fact, SMBR’s net profit increased significantly to 495% or Rp. 15.78 billion compared to last year.” Daconi said.

In Semester I/2022, SMBR’s financial position was quite good, as seen from the maintained total assets, liabilities (liabilities) and equity as well as the final cash and cash equivalents (Nett Cash) which increased compared to the previous year.

SMBR’s positive performance is inseparable from strategic initiatives that have been implemented by Management, starting from the Cost Leadership through SMBRGO45 Program, Strengthen Market Positioning and Competency Improvement of Employees.

In the Cost Leadership initiative, SMBR carries out various cost efficiency efforts in various fields. Management also strengthens Market Positioning, including through structuring sales channels and expanding sales area coverage through digital platforms so that sales volume is able to grow amid declining demand.

The Competency Improvement of Employee initiative focuses on efforts to create superior and professional human resources by developing a talent management system.

Thanks to positive performance achievements throughout Semester I/2022 and supported by a number of strategic initiatives that have been carried out, Management is increasingly optimistic that it will be able to achieve the target by the end of 2022.

Furthermore, SMBR will continue to encourage improvements in operational patterns and development efforts to be more in line with sustainability principles, especially in facing challenges in the cement industry in the future, such as increasing the use of alternative fuels and substitute materials as well as supporting the government’s efforts to reduce GHG emissions. {}

Semen Baturaja Receives INDI 4.0 Certificate from the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia

JAKARTA – PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) won the Indonesia Industry 4.0 (INDI) Certificate from the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) of the Republic of Indonesia.

The INDI 4.0 certificate was handed over by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry Doddy Widodo to the President Director of SMBR Daconi on Wednesday (24/08) at Menara Bidakara, Jakarta.

The President Director of SMBR expressed his gratitude for the certificates given and appreciated all SMBR people who have supported the Implementation of Industry 4.0. This is a form of the Company’s commitment to continue to innovate and digitize in line with the development of Industrial Technology 4.0.

SMBR is currently preparing for the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based technology. This program is one of the Company’s efforts in preparing the company to transform towards industry 4.0 and is a form of support for the Making BUMN 4.0 Program as part of the Making Indonesia 4.0 Program.

In 2021, SMBR has implemented the Intelligence Process Control System in the pyroprocessing (combustion) process and is planning to continue in the milling process. In addition, this year, SMBR also plans to implement AI-based Predictive Maintenance for main factory equipment.

Celebrating the 77th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, Semen Baturaja Wins Two Awards from the Province of South Sumatra

PALEMBANG – PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMB) won two awards in the 2022 Traditional Bidar Competition and Ornamental Boat Parade held by the South Sumatra (Sumsel) Provincial Government. This competition was held to celebrate the 77th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia which was held on Saturday (20/08) at Plaza Benteng Kuto Besak, Sungai Musi Palembang.

SMBR managed to bring home two trophies between the 2nd Winner of the Ornamental Boat for the BUMN/BUMD Category and the Favorite Winner of the 2022 Office Decoration and Beauty Contest in the same category.

The award was handed over by the Head of the South Sumatra Province Culture and Tourism Office, Aufa Syahrizal, which was received symbolically by SMBR represented by SMBR’s Vice President Marketing Kartha Kurniadi.

The competition was lively and witnessed by the residents of Palembang. The participants of the Ornamental Boat Competition were attended by all OPDs of City Regency, BUMN and BUMD in South Sumatra.{}

Quick Response Action, Semen Baturaja Distributes Aid to Victims of the Baturaja Lama Market Fire

BATURAJA – PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) through the SOE TJSL Program distributed assistance in the form of money and basic necessities to fire victims in the Baturaja Old Market area located on Jalan H. Agus Salim, Baturaja Lama, Kec. East Baturaja Kab. OKU on Sunday (21/08).

This fire accident occurred on Saturday (20/08) morning which had scorched 4 Ruko Units.

The handover of this assistance was given directly by the Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Gili Aprial Braja together with Pj. OKU Regent H. Teddy Meilwansyah to the fire victims with a total aid value of Rp. 10,000,000.- (in cash and food packages.

Pj. OKU Regent H. Teddy Meilwansyah., said he was very concerned and sorry for this disaster. “Of course this incident was not what we all wanted, so we remain patient and steadfast in dealing with it, today we are here to provide basic food assistance and other logistics, including a number of compensation funds to victims who were hit by the disaster,” said Teddy Meilwansyah.

“The distribution of this aid is a manifestation of SMBR’s concern that it is always alert and ready to respond to a number of disasters in order to help and ease the burden on the community and the environment affected by the disaster through the SOE TJSL Program.” said Gili.

Concern was not only given after the fire incident, at the time of the incident SMBR also participated in lowering a unit of the company’s PBK vehicle fleet to help extinguish the fire with the OKU District DAMKAR team.

Semen Baturaja Holds Technical Guidance and Facilitates Halal Certification for MSEs fostered by Semen Baturaja

BATURAJA – PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) held a Halal Certification Technical Guidance Program (Bimtek) for MSEs fostered by the Baturaja SOE House which was held on Friday (19/08) at the Baturaja SOE House.

SMBR together with the Baturaja BUMN House have played an active role in raising MSEs to improve the nation’s economy. This is a form of the TJSL (Social and Environmental Responsibility) Program that has been carried out by the Company.

This Bimtek program presented speaker Muhammad Bobby S.H as a companion to PPH UIN Sunan Kalijaga, which was attended by 10 UMK Participants fostered by the Baturaja BUMN House.

Bobby gave material to MSE actors, about the importance of having a halal certificate for their products, this is to build consumer trust and loyalty to the products offered with the halal label.

“Halal certificates on these products are expected to guarantee quality and provide added value in order to increase the income of the MSEs fostered by Rumah Baturaja,” said Bobby.

“This program is expected to be able to increase the competitiveness and buying and selling capacity of the MSEs. In the future, we will try for all of our fostered MSEs to get Halal Certification,” said Risal as the Supervisor of the Baturaja BUMN House.{}

Semen Baturaja and the Semen Baturaja Employee Union Signed a Collective Labor Agreement for the Period 2022-2024

LAMPUNG – On Monday (08/08) the signing of the Collective Labor Agreement (PKB) for the period 2022-2024 between PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) and the Semen Baturaja Employees Union (SKSB) in Bandar Lampung, at the office Long SMBR Site.

The event was attended directly by the President Director of SMBR Daconi accompanied by the Director of General & HR of SMBR Gatot Mardiana, the General Chairperson of SKSB M. Ariansyah and the Head of the Negotiation Team from SMBR Heru Rusdiansyah along with all SKSB members who attended the event.

In his remarks, the General Chairperson of SKSB did not forget to express his gratitude and highest appreciation for the current performance of the Board of Directors and management. So that the company is able to survive in the crisis era without reducing the rights that have been given.

SMBR is optimistic that it can continue to grow and even improve its performance. SKSB is ready to assist management in realizing the progress of the company and also the welfare of employees/ti through this Collective Labor Agreement.

The Collective Labor Agreement for the period 2022-2024 was previously discussed in an internal negotiation based on the conditions and interests of the company while prioritizing employee welfare.

In his remarks, the President Director, said that welfare is the main goal of the BOD ranks. However, in an effort to achieve prosperity, employees must first improve their professionalism, productivity and work ethic, in order to improve the company’s performance both in terms of production and profit. Until the goal to improve employee welfare can be achieved later.{}
