Jakarta, Located at the Indonesia Stock Exchange building, Public Expose Marathon has been organized by BEI, KPEI and KSEI.
This activity can open access and wider relationships between investors and listed companies, including to get the latest information about the performance of listed companies.
In an activity titled “Public Expose Marathon” there are 68 (sixty eight) companies listed on the BEI will deliver their latest performance updates and plans for implementation in 10 (ten) major cities in Indonesia.
PT . Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk once again became one of the participants in this Public Expose. Based on the Indonesia Stock Exchange Regulation number I-E, it is mentioned that each Listed Company must conduct an annual public expose of at least 1 (one) time in a year.
In this event PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk conducted a presentation of company development along with question and answer to the participants who attended and ended with a press conference which was attended by the President Director, Mr . Rahmad Pribadi, Finance Director, Mr . Dede Parasade, Production Director Mr . Daconi and Corporate Secretary, Mr .Rum Hendarmin.
The material presented is the development of the company’s current condition (including financial and operational performance). Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) is preparing an initiative to address future sales challenges called the “Three Elephants Initiative,” which consists of Cost Leadership, Market Expansion and Business Process Streaming.
In the initiative of Cost Leadership, the company targets the end-of-year efficiency to reach Rp70-100 billion through various measures, such as reducing clinker, energy savings through low-calorie coal use, long-term coal procurement contracts by 2020 and the use of electricity tariffs cheaper.
Efficiency is also done on distribution and logistics costs, where the company cooperates with PT KALOG to route Tiga Gajah Baturaha station to Tegineneng in Lampung.
In the market expansion initiative, the company targets the opening of new markets, such as in Jambi and Bengkulu. Until June 2017 sales in Jambi and Bengkulu grew 54% and 29%. The Business Process Streamlining initiative aims to accelerate decision-making.
By the end of 2017, the company targets the sales volume of cement to reach 2.011 million tons and revenue of Rp 1.83 trillion or 23% and 20% respectively, and EBITDA of Rp580 billion grew 38% YoY . (PR & Corsec SMBR)

Jakarta, On Thursday (15/06) at 13.00 WIB at the Office of the Ministry of SOEs, the signing of a Cooperation Agreement on Supplier & Distributor Funding between PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk and in the field of Cement Distribution Guarantee with Public Corporation Credit Guarantee Indonesia (Jamkrindo).

Distributor financing that is packed with Distributor Financing program is a facility provided by the Bank that will provide convenience for Semen Baturaja distributor in conducting cement redemption with competitive tenor and interest rate.
Guarantee receivables are made by Jamkrindo in case of default by the distributor at the time the invoice is due. The duration of the underwriting is 30-90 days with the insurance premium of 1.65%. The applicable Coverage Ratio is 90% of the total bill.
Supplier Chain Financing, Semen Baturaja cooperates with BNI, Bank Mandiri and BRI. Supplier Chain Financing program is expected to increase the cash flow turnover so that the capital of Semen Baturaja suppliers becomes stronger.
In the future, Semen Baturaja targets to increase the sales volume of cement in line with the operation of Baturaja II Plant which has a production capacity of 1.85 million tons of cement per year.
The Company’s current cement production capacity has reached 3.85 million tons of cement per year, so it is hoped that with the synergy of SOEs through this joint funding program can support market expansion by the company. (PR & Corsec PTSB)

Jamil (Marketing Director), Mr. Amrullah (Director of General&Human Resources) and Mr. Dede Parasade (Director of Finance) were present at the event. Likewise with the Head of Lampung District Attorney Mr. Hentoro Cahyono along with the staff who also attended the event.
The MoU between PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk and the Lampung District Attorney is in the form of cooperation in legal problem solving in the field of Civil & State Administration whose scope are the provision of legal aid; Giving legal considerations & Other legal actions required in the settlement of legal issues in the field of civil and State Administration faced by PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk.
Marketing Director of PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk, Mr. M.Jamil affirmed, Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lampung State Attorney is very important to keep the company as one of the national assets & vital objects. He hopes that with the signing of this cooperation, the company’s investment and operational plan can run smoothly.
Meanwhile, Head of Lampung District Attorney, Mr.Hentoro Cahyono, was pleased with this cooperation. “Hopefully we can help to provide more solutions and overcome the legal problems faced by PT Semen Baturaja which may be in the future,” said Hentoro.
Mr. Hentoro said that, as a first step, PT Semen Baturaja can submit the existing problems to obtain legal considerations as well as other legal action if necessary. Especially, related to the problem of mediation of problems arising between PT Semen Baturaja with other parties.
“This has become the duty and responsibility of the prosecutor as a state lawyer. If the non-litigation method is deemed to have not solved the problem, it will be resolved through the judicial process, “said Hentoro.

Palembang, PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk and PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk signed a long-term coal procurement contract for 3 years starting from June 2017 to May 2020 with total coal reaching 1.69 million tons.
The signing of Semen Baturaja is done directly by the President Director of PTSB, Rahmad Pribadi and Acting official Commercial Director of PTBA, Mr. Joko Pramono at Hotel Arista Palembang on Tuesday (20/06/2017).
The signing is done in order to ensure the availability of coal supply required by the Company while improving efficiency with cheaper coal prices.
Previously, Semen Baturaja used coal with 6,300 kcal / kg calories. In connection with the operation of Baturaja II Plant, Company has a new coal mill that can use lower-calorie coal, which can also be used to meet the needs of Baturaja I Plant so that the Company no longer uses high-calorie coal.
This coal procurement contract consists of Bukitasam-45 products with 4,500kcal / kg calories are 1.090.000 ton and Bukitasam-55 with calories 5,500kcal / kg are 603.000ton.
In addition, with the existence of this contract, the Company obtained coal prices that were more competitive with other cement industries due to the relatively long contract period.
This coal procurement contract is also a form of state-owned synergy that will strengthen the position of Semen Baturaja and Bukit Asam as the largest cement producer and coal producer in Southern Sumatra. (PR & Corsec PTSB)
