BATURAJA – Hendri Radilah, an employee of PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), has once again achieved an achievement at the national level. Representing the Province of South Sumatra (Sumsel), Hendri and his colleagues won Three Bronze Medals in the Wheelchair Fencing sport at the XVII National Paralympic Week (PEPARNAS) which took place on 6-13 October 2024 in Solo, Central Java.

As a disabled employee who works in the SMBR Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Unit, Hendri proved that physical challenges are not a barrier to achieving achievements. This victory is not the first for Hendri. Last year, he also managed to bring home three medals in table tennis, including 1 Gold in the Men’s Singles Category, 1 Silver in the Men’s Team Category, and 1 Bronze in the Men’s Doubles Category at the 4th South Sumatra Provincial Paralympic Week (Peparprov) held in Lahat Regency. This achievement further confirms Hendri as a tough and inspiring athlete, both in the corporate environment and the disabled community.

SMBR Vice President of Corporate Secretary Hari Liandu, expressed his pride in Hendri’s achievement. He emphasized that Hendri has shown that physical limitations do not reduce the spirit and determination to achieve. “Hendri is an inspiration to all, and we hope that his achievements can motivate other employees to continue to fight and achieve extraordinary achievements. This is realized through active participation in the Karya Nyata Festival which will take place on 5-6 October 2024 at the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD Yard, Palembang City. The festival, which has entered its 11th volume, is an initiative of the Ministry of SOEs to encourage MSMEs as the main pillars driving the national economy.

Through Rumah BUMN Baturaja, SMBR invites 10 superior products of its fostered MSMEs to appear in this festival. Some of them are Kurcok, Sakinah Cookies and Crackers, D’crispy Banana and Pare, Macho Chips, Ngopi Kuday, Mustofa Potatoes, DIHI Honey and Kemplang Tunu Fitriah. This participation provides an opportunity for fostered MSMEs to introduce their products to the wider community, while expanding their business networks and marketing potential.

Not only supporting fostered MSMEs through product exhibitions, SMBR was also one of the speakers in a talk show session with the theme “Building a Successful Business in Collaboration with Rumah BUMN” represented by Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) SMBR Gili Aprial Braja.

Gili emphasized the importance of synergy between BUMN and MSMEs in creating sustainable business growth. He also shared the success story of Rumah BUMN Baturaja as a strategic partner for MSMEs in South Sumatra.

BATURAJA – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) in collaboration with the South Sumatra Provincial Government (Pemprov Sumsel) through the South Sumatra Provincial Social Service distributed 500 basic food packages to support the extreme poverty alleviation program in South Sumatra Province.

The regencies targeted for the distribution of this program include OKU 345 packages, East OKU 45 packages and South OKU 110 packages, each package consisting of 10 kg of rice and 1 box of instant noodles.

The assistance was symbolically handed over by Senior Manager of Secretarial & Stakeholder Management SMBR Pramaja Gusnady to Acting (Pj) Regent of OKU M. Iqbal Alisyahbana who was accompanied by the Head of the OKU Regency Social Service Syaiful Kamal and Assistant III of the Regional Secretariat (Sekda) Romson Fitri on Thursday (26/9) which took place at the Official Residence of the Regent of Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU), Baturaja, South Sumatra. The assistance that has been handed over will then be directly distributed to the beneficiaries represented by the Sub-district Heads in each local area through the Social Service.

Pramaja Gusnandy said that the distribution of this assistance is part of the social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) program aimed at people in need. “We are synergizing with the OKU Regency OPD and related stakeholders, so that the aid distribution process is right on target and appropriate,” he explained.

According to the direction of the Governor of South Sumatra Elen Setiadi, poverty in South Sumatra continues to decline even though the figure is still above the national average. According to him, South Sumatra has actually succeeded in significantly reducing the extreme poverty rate below the national level.

“In the long term, the South Sumatra Provincial Government has also prepared steps to reduce poverty rates in South Sumatra. The decrease in extreme poverty rates is due to the success of government programs such as providing social assistance, to controlling inflation,” he explained.

BATURAJA – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) held a Disaster Emergency Response Training which was attended by 30 participants from ring 1 residents. This event took place at the Talang Jawa Village Office, West Baturaja District, Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, South Sumatra, aims to be a disaster management and mitigation effort, especially when fires occur.

The training which was held on Wednesday (17/7) involved residents of Talang Jawa Village as participants. SMBR’s Safety, Health, & Environment Unit collaborates with the OKU Fire Department (Damkar), OKU Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and Rumah BUMN Baturaja. Rumah BUMN Baturaja itself acts as a BUMN Task Force for disaster mitigation and response.

This event was attended by Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) SMBR Gili Aprial Braja, Head of Emergency and Logistics Division of BPBD OKU Mulyadi, Disaster Management Manager of BPBD OKU Gunalfi Uniba, Head of Prevention Division of OKU Regency Fire Department (Damkar) Yatino, Fire Department Personnel OKU Andang Regency Duwi Harmoko and Afriadi and Talang Jawa Village Head Paisal Reza

Gili conveyed that this extension training & emergency response training for disaster management for Ring 1 residents is a manifestation of Semen Baturaja’s commitment to increasing community awareness and preparedness for the dangers of disasters. “The residents of Talang Java were very enthusiastic about taking part in this training, because they were immediately given educational material for dealing with disasters and a simulation of how to extinguish a fire by experts from the OKU Fire Department,” he said.

He explained that in this training, residents gain practical knowledge and skills in dealing with disaster emergency situations, starting from how to put out fires using a cloth dampened due to a gas seal leak, how to use a light fire extinguisher (APAR) to the correct evacuation technique if a disaster occurs.

“This training is an important step in mitigating and managing disasters, especially when a fire occurs and we hope that this training can provide real benefits for the residents of Talang Java and its surroundings,” explained Gili.

Apart from that, Mulyadi said that cooperation between BPBD OKU, Semen Baturaja and other related agencies was very important to strengthen the community’s ability to face disasters. “We appreciate this initiative and hope that similar activities can continue to be carried out in a sustainable manner,” he concluded.

JAKARTA – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) won the Silver Champion award at the 2024 Bisnis Indonesia Social Responsibility Awards (BISRA) thanks to its superior Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

The award was received directly by the Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility SMBR Gili Aprial Braja at the Raffles Hotel, Jakarta on Thursday (27/6). In line with the theme of this year’s award, namely “Paving The Way Sustainable Business: Innovation CSR”, SMBR was deemed successful in carrying out a community empowerment program through “SMBR Economic & Education Beefarm”.

According to Gili, SMBR continues to develop sustainable business strategies that have a positive impact on the surrounding environment in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), one of which is the economic pillar which aims to improve the welfare and economy of the community.

Through the “SMBR Economic and Education Beefarm” program, it has succeeded in implementing the economic pillar, one of the villages being supported by CSR, SMBR is collaborating with the Farmer’s Group and BUMDes Maju Mandiri Laya to manage trigona bee cultivation and develop the honey business. By utilizing vacant community land into a beneficial program, village communities are invited to actively participate, and are given education and training in managing to produce quality honey production.

“Thanks to this program, at the beginning of last June, we together with BUMDes succeeded in carrying out the first honey harvest which produced 250 ml. “The honey produced can be sold and labeled by the community itself, which ultimately provides opportunities for economic value for them,” said Gili.

Meanwhile, President Commissioner of Bisnis Indonesia Group, Hariyadi Sukamdani, said that holding BISRA 2024 does not merely provide appreciation for companies in carrying out social responsibility.

BATURAJA – Welcoming the Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijriah holiday, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) distributed 12 sacrificial animals with a total value of IDR 294 million. The distribution was carried out in stages starting from Friday (14/6) to Sunday (16/6), the sacrificial animals in the form of 12 cows were distributed, including to the community around the company’s operational area in Baturaja and SMBR stakeholders.

The distribution of sacrificial animals was carried out to communities around the operational area, including 6 sub-districts, namely Sukajadi, Airgading, Talang Jawa, Tanjung Agung, Saung Naga and Batu Kuning. Apart from that, 2 villages also received sacrificial animals, namely Laya and Pusar.

The handover of the sacrificial animals was carried out symbolically at the Official Residence (PJ) of the OKU Regent  which was handed over by the Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) SMBR Gili April Braja to the Village Head and Village Head as well as representing and witnessed by the Acting Regional Secretary and Assistant 1 of the District Head OKU Indra Susanto on Sunday (16/6).

Gili said this activity was part of the Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL) as a form of the company’s concern for the surrounding community, especially in supporting the implementation of sacrificial services on the Eid al-Adha holiday.

“In the momentum of welcoming Eid al-Adha, we want to contribute and share benefits with the community through the TJSL program through the assistance of sacrificial animals. BATURAJA – Memperingati Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) selaku anak usaha PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) melakukan penanaman pohon atau revegetasi di area IUP Operasi Batu Gamping Semen Baturaja, Baturaja, Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) pada Rabu (5/6).

Acara penanaman pohon dihadiri oleh Direktur (Fungsi Keuangan & SDM) Rahmat Hidayat, serta Vice President of Mining & Waste Management Muhammad Beni. Kegiatan dimulai secara simbolis menanam pohon di area bekas tambang, menandai dimulainya kampanye penghijauan ini. Selain itu, kontraktor tambang seperti PT Dahana, PT Pembangunan Sarana Perkasa, dan PT Tirta Wandhira Utama turut berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan ini.

Adapun jenis pohon yang ditanam diantaranya pohon sengon, pohon cemara, pohon mangga, pohon kelengkeng, dan pohon bunga (Hujan Emas dan Santos Temon).

Kegiatan ini memastikan bahwa lahan bekas tambang dapat direvitalisasi untuk keperluan lingkungan dan masyarakat. Mengusung tema “Penyelesaian Krisis Iklim dengan Inovasi dan Prinsip Keadilan,” kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari komitmen perusahaan terhadap praktik penambangan yang berkelanjutan dan berwawasan lingkungan.

Dalam kegiatan operasional penambangannya, Semen Baturaja telah menerapkan Good Mining Practice yang memprioritaskan aspek lingkungan. Salah satu wujud nyata dari komitmen ini adalah pemenuhan kewajiban reklamasi yang dilakukan secara berkala sejak tahun pertama penambangan hingga akhir.

Hingga saat ini, Semen Baturaja telah berhasil melakukan reklamasi dan revegetasi seluas 34,34 hektar diarea tersebut, sedikitnya terdapat 30 jenis tanaman dengan total kurang lebih 37.000 pohon yang telah ditanam, di antaranya kaliandra, cemara, flamboyan, durian, mangga, kelengkeng, rukam, nangka, trembesi, mahoni, matoa, dan sengon.

Muhammad Beni mengatakan revegetasi lahan pascatambang merupakan upaya SMBR dalam memulihkan fungsi lahan dan meningkatkan kemanfaatannya secara berkelanjutan.

“Kegiatan penanaman pohon dan penghijauan ini adalah untuk memberikan dampak positif, seperti penyerapan karbon dioksida, pengurangan polusi, dan peningkatan keanekaragaman hayati di kawasan tersebut yang diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat ekonomis dan ekologis,” kata Beni.

Beberapa area reklamasi ini telah dinilai oleh Inspektur Tambang Direktorat Teknik dan Lingkungan Mineral dan Batubara, Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral, dengan nilai pencapaian keberhasilan rata-rata sebesar 90%. Penilaian ini mencakup berbagai aspek, mulai dari proses penataan lahan hingga keberhasilan pertumbuhan tanaman.

Selain itu, dengan penerapan metode sistem silvikultur, Semen Baturaja telah berhasil mengelola ekosistem di area lahan bekas tambang (quarry) menjadi habitat bagi koloni Lebah Trigona. Lebah

ini, dikenal juga sebagai lebah kelulut, berperan penting dalam proses penyerbukan tanaman, menandakan keberhasilan ekosistem baru yang terbentuk di area tambang.

“Budidaya lebah trigona di Semen Baturaja menjadi salah satu indikator keberhasilan ekosistem baru yang ada di area tambang yang berperan dalam proses penyerbukan tanaman,” ungkapnya.

SMBR succeeded in winning 2 award categories, namely TOP CSR Awards 2024 on #Star 4 and TOP Leader On CSR Commitment which was given to SMBR Main Director Suherman Yahya. The TOP Leader On CSR Commitment award was given to the Main Director of SMBR Suherman Yahya for the achievement of the company leadership’s high commitment in supporting complete systems, governance and successful implementation of CSR in the company.

Then the TOP CSR Awards 2024 with the title #Star 4, was achieved through the company’s CSR by prioritizing superior Environmental Social Responsibility (TJSL) programs that are effective and have a positive impact on stakeholders and the company.

BATURAJA – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk. (IDX: SMBR) selaku anak usaha PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) kembali memberikan bantuan bagi korban banjir yang terjadi di Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU). Bantuan tersebut berupa paket sembako yang diserahkan kepada Pemerintah Kabupaten OKU untuk disalurkan oleh Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) OKU.

Penyerahan bantuan dilakukan langsung oleh Senior Manager Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) PT Semen Baturaja Tbk, Gili Aprial Braja, kepada Penjabat (Pj) Bupati OKU Teddy Meilwansyah, dalam sebuah acara simbolis yang digelar di kantor Pemkab OKU.

“Kami berharap bantuan ini dapat meringankan beban para korban banjir dan membantu mereka dalam memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari,” ujar Gili Aprial Braja.

Pj Bupati OKU Teddy Meilwansyah menyampaikan apresiasi dan terima kasih atas bantuan yang diberikan oleh SMBR. “Bantuan ini sangat berarti bagi masyarakat yang terdampak banjir. Kami akan segera menyalurkannya melalui BPBD OKU agar dapat diterima oleh yang membutuhkan secepatnya,” ujarnya.

Adapun paket bantuan yang diberikan berupa 100 karton Mie Instan, 5 peti telur, 48 pcs minyak goreng, 48 kaleng sarden, dan 1500 paket nasi bungkus.

Sebagai informasi, banjir yang melanda Wilayah Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu terjadi akibat luapan Sungai Ogan yang terjadi pada Kamis (23/5) dini hari. Banjir merendam sejumlah kecamatan antara lain Kecamatan Ulu Ogan, Peninjauan, Semidang Aji, Lengkiti, Baturaja Timur, dan Baturaja Barat, dengan ketinggian air mencapai 1-2 meter.

Bencana banjir ini merupakan yang kedua kalinya setelah awal Mei lalu curah hujan yang tinggi menyebabkan banjir di beberapa titik di Kabupaten OKU.

BATURAJA – Continuously providing aid, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk distributed aid in the form of clean water to residents affected by the floods in Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) District. This flood has caused a number of areas in Baturaja to experience a clean water crisis.

SMBR Vice President of Corporate Secretary, Hari Liandu, said that the distribution of clean water had been carried out since Wednesday (8/7). “We have distributed clean water aid as of Friday (10/5) totaling 107,500 liters of clean water to a number of areas affected by the flood disaster, including Sukajadi, Baturaja Hamlet, Pusar Village, Saung Naga, Laya Village, Pasar Baru, Bakung, Tanjung Kemala and Jl. “Gotong Royong includes residents’ homes, places of worship and village offices,” he explained.

He said that the distribution of clean water was carried out via two fire engines and one water tank truck belonging to the company with a total volume of 24,000 liters. On that occasion, SMBR participated in helping Perumda Air Minum Tirta Jasa (PDAM) OKU to distribute clean water to several points in the affected areas.

The distribution of clean water will continue according to residents’ requests or needs. “If tomorrow residents still need clean water, we are ready to help. Especially in ring 1 residents as part of the company’s community,” he said.

This activity is a form of SMBR’s concern for the community in the company’s environment who are experiencing a clean water crisis due to the flood disaster. “We hope that this assistance can ease the burden on residents and hopefully this disaster will end quickly,” hoped Hari.

Head of RT 05 Pasar Baru Village Haris Fadilah expressed his appreciation to Semen Baturaja for taking quick and responsive action in overcoming clean water difficulties for residents affected by the disaster, especially in Pasar Baru Village. “On behalf of the community, I would like to thank Semen Baturaja for distributing clean water to our community,” he said.
