BATURAJA – A big step in the world of cement industry has been achieved successfully. PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) has officially become a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) on December 19, 2022 to strengthen the position of the SOE Cement Sub Cluster in facing an increasingly competitive market.

On Thursday (24/8) in Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra, SMBR received a visit from the Assistant Deputy for Infrastructure Services at the Indonesian Ministry of BUMN Hendrika Nora Osloi Sinaga in the framework of monitoring and evaluating the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) achievements of State Capital Investment ( PMN) Fiscal Year 2022. This visit aims to review the results of the integration of SMBR into SIG.

During the visit, Hendrika Osloi Sinaga was accompanied by the Directors of SMBR including Main Director Daconi Khotob, Director (Finance & HR Function) Rahmat Hidayat and Director (Operation Function) Suherman Yahya and SIG Directors namely Operations Director Reni Wulandari.

Hendrika Nora Osloi Sinaga said that his party reviewed the results of the integration of SMBR into SIG, “The Ministry of BUMN greatly appreciates the positive results that have been achieved through the integration of SMBR into SIG. This integration has had a significant impact in improving financial performance, distribution channels and strengthening the cement market position, especially in the South Sumatra region which has become the marketing base for SMBR,” said Hendrika Nora Osloi Sinaga.

The Main Director of SMBR Daconi Khotob in his presentation explained the achievement of the realization of the creation of integrated value or value creation as of July had exceeded the target or Rp. 217.3 billion (157% of the target of Rp. 138.4 billion or 78% of the FY2023 target of Rp. 279 Rp. 198.6 billion, consisting of Realization of Initiative Value Creation according to the Joint Review Document of Rp. 198.6 billion and Realization of New Initiative Value Creation of Rp. 18.7 billion.

“Several new initiatives that are capable of contributing to the creation of integrated value include implementation of optimizing factory maintenance, efficiency in the value of spare part inventory, reprofiling of syndicated loans, cost efficiency of joint insurance tenders,” he said.

He added that the achievement of this integration value was also driven by an increase in employee productivity, this is because around 87 percent of the majority of SMBR employees are millennials. meaning, they are ready to collaborate for the betterment of the company and the holding, and are ready to innovate and adapt to the changes that occur.

This successful integration strengthens SIG’s position as a key player in the cement industry, with SMBR now solidly an integral part. The ENSIA 2023 award was received directly by SMBR Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Gili Aprial Braja at the Gumaya Hotel, Semarang, East Java on Thursday (10/8).

With the theme of social-economic innovation based on environmental preservation, through the SMBR Economic and Education Bee Farm Program, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) received the highest appreciation at the 2023 Environmental and Social Innovation Awards (ENSIA) event organized by PT Sucofindo. This appreciation is given to companies that have successfully implemented Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programs around their business unit areas.

The presentation of the ENSIA 2023 Award was also attended by Deputy Minister of the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry Environment (KLHK) Alue Dohong, Director General of Pollution Control and Environmental Damage of the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry Sigit Reliantoro and Commercial Director of PT Sucofindo Darwin Abas.

Gili explained “SMBR Economic and Education Bee Farm is a community and environmental empowerment program through the management of honey from trigona beekeeping. This cultivation is the result of replication resulting from the post-mining reclamation area which was converted into new vegetation and ecosystem land, as well as a habitat for various fauna that live around the SMBR mining area by the Department of Mining (Beeyond Honey), one of which is the trigona bee. Efforts to exploit the success of this reclamation are by carrying out Trigona Bee Cultivation as a fauna that helps pollinate plants and as a producer of honey. SMBR sees this cultivation activity as a new business opportunity that can generate benefits for the environment and society.”

It was further explained that SMBR is working with CSR assisted villages through the Laya Village Integrated Farmers Group and Maju Mandiri BUMDes in managing trigona beekeeping and developing the honey business. This collaboration aims to provide knowledge and skills to the community in the cultivation of Trigona honey, as well as increase public awareness of the importance of sustainable environmental preservation. In addition, this collaboration also encourages an increase in the economic welfare of the community and contributes to increasing income through the sale of Trigona bee honey.

At the event, the management of SIG and SMBR also planted New Crystal longan tree seeds (Dimocarpus longan) as an effort to protect the environment and reduce carbon emissions. Then proceed with visiting the SMBR mining area where reclamation and revegetation activities have been carried out using a silvicultural system, which is an innovation from the SMBR Beeyond Team in managing ecosystems in the post-mining land area as a habitat for Trigona bee colonies.

The green area resulting from the reclamation program grows many types of plants. The 30.14 hectare land in the post-mining area is a habitat for fruit trees, flowering ornamental plants, and plants with medium to tall trees. This type of ornamental plant which contains a lot of nectar and pollen is what bee colonies like very much, so the idea of using this plant as a habitat for Trigona beekeeping emerged.

Trigona bees or often referred to as kelulut bees, clancing, klenceng, or bells are one of the largest stingless bee genera. Trigona is a type of honey bee that is mostly kept traditionally by rural communities around forest areas.

Currently, SMBR’s Trigona beekeeping is 45 bee colony boxes and Alhamdulillah, Trigona honey production has reached 10-12 liters per 2-3 month period of harvest.
SMBR plans to empower experienced local beekeepers in the Baturaja area to develop this innovation. So that it is expected to be able to educate other communities to participate in beekeeping independently, and can become one of the activities that support the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Jakarta, 8 May 2023 – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) held an Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) for Fiscal Year 2022 at the Sari Pacific Hotel, Jakarta on Monday (8/5 ) led directly by the Main Commissioner of SMBR, Franciscus M.A Sibarani.

At the AGMS, SMBR managed to record positive performance in the 2022 financial year by pocketing a net profit of IDR 94.83 billion, growing 103% compared to the 2021 period of IDR 46.7 billion. SMBR also agreed to distribute a dividend payout ratio of 20% with a total cash dividend value of 18.96 billion and the remaining 80% or IDR 75.86 billion to be designated as other reserves.

Main Director of SMBR, Daconi Khotob said that in 2022, SMBR was able to record sales volume growth of 4% to 2.01 million tons, even though the demand for cement nationally, especially in the South Sumatra region which is SMBR’s main market, has experienced a correction.

Not only that, SMBR also managed to record revenue throughout 2022 of 1.88 trillion, growing 7% compared to last year’s period. In terms of EBITDA, it was recorded at IDR 437 billion, growing 5% compared to 2021.
“This positive performance record is inseparable from the success of the Company’s strategic initiatives in 2022 which focus on three initiatives, namely Cost Leadership Through SMBRGO45 Program, Strengthen Market Positioning and Competency Improvement of Employees. This is the company’s flagship program in order to streamline costs in various fields and implement best practices in operations so as to achieve positive performance,” said Daconi Khotob.

The signing was carried out in the Plenary Room of the SIG Head Office, South Quarter, Jakarta, on Tuesday (28/3/2023) by the Main Director of Semen Baturaja, Daconi Khotob; Head of Syndication & Corporate Solution Division of Bank BNI, Yogi Bima Sakti (as BNI Facility Agent); Head of Corporate Banking 3 Division of Bank BNI, Dipo Nugroho; SVP Corporate Banking 2 Group Bank Mandiri, Budi Purwanto; Deputy Head of Wholesale Banking PT Bank HSBC Indonesia, Dionisia Andrea Lachman; as well as SVP Corporate Banking of Bank CIMB Niaga, Putu Arimbawa and VP-Structured Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions of Bank CIMB Niaga, Rifan Arista.

The SLL Syndicated Credit Agreement for Semen Baturaja is in line with the Sustainability Strategy that has been set by SIG as a form of commitment to sustainability through the implementation of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles, and at the same time is part of a series of Sustainability Framework which was released by SIG on October 14, 2022 Then.

Previously, on 19 December 2022, SIG and its subsidiary PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk (SBI) had also signed an SLL Syndicated Credit Agreement with 12 (twelve) banks as creditors. In the SLL Syndicated Credit Agreement, SIG will obtain credit of Rp. 4.15 trillion, while SBI will obtain credit of Rp. 2.74 trillion.

SLL is an existing syndicated bank loan refinancing scheme, without adding to the debt burden. Apart from being SIG’s commitment to decarbonization initiatives, SLL also provides the benefit of reducing interest margins compared to existing syndicated bank loans with better terms. More than that, SLL also has a positive impact on increasing ESG ratings, so that it can return SIG to the IDX ESG Leader Index and increase global and national investor confidence.

PALEMBANG – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) supports the Palembang City PUPR Service in organizing Technical Guidance (Bimtek) and Competency Certification for Skilled Construction Workers for Palembang City this year. This activity is a fairly routine collaboration in the last few years between SMBR, the Palembang City PUPR Service and the Region II Construction Services Center to organize training and certification of masons in the City of Palembang.

The Bimtek which was held at Benteng Kuto Besak Field, Palembang City was attended by approximately 837 participants from various fields of construction. This activity took place from 13 – 18 March 2023 and was attended by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Palembang City, Ratu Dewa. BATURAJA – BUMN Minister Erick Thohir invited all BUMN employees and the public to take a Healthy Walk with BUMN in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Ministry of BUMN which was held in 234 districts/cities in Indonesia. Healthy walk activities carrying the concept of the SOE Torch Relay from Sabang to Merauke were carried out in stages in 15 provinces from 12/2/2023 to 19/3/2023 with the theme “Together with SOEs, Towards Indonesia
Healthy”.

Healthy Walk with BUMN 2023 marks the togetherness of the Ministry of BUMN and the community which has been fostered for 25 years, with the hope of the Ministry of BUMN and BUMN companies come closer and educate the public about the importance of maintaining health, which is the basic capital of development.

Under the direction of Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir, the Ministry of BUMN runs the “BUMN For Indonesia” to encourage SOEs to make the best contribution to the country and the people. As part of BUMN, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR), which is a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), also supports the implementation of Healthy Walks with BUMN in Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) which involves 3,000 participants from the general public, employees, as well as the large family of SOEs in OKU and its surroundings. This Healthy Walk with SOEs was held on Sunday (5/3) at Ahmad Yani Field, Baturaja City Park, OKU.

This activity is the result of a collaboration between SMBR and PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM). Previously, on 26 February 2023, Semen Baturaja also held this Healthy Walk with SOEs in the City of Bandar Lampung.

The event was attended by the SMBR Directors, PNM Management Representatives, Acting Regent of OKU H. Teddy Meilwansyah, Head of OKU Police AKBP Arif Harsono, SIK., M.H, Chairman of the OKU DPRD Ir. H. Marjito Bachri, Dandim 0403 OKU Lt. Col. Inf Ferizal R, S.IP and local officials. In his remarks, Director of SMBR (Operations Function) Suherman Yahya said, being part of the 2023 SOE Joint Health Walk was a matter of pride and honor for Semen Baturaja. Through this activity, Semen Baturaja as part of the nation’s assets under the direction of SIG and coordination of the Ministry of BUMN, has the opportunity to get closer and strengthen relations with all levels of society.

“Walking with BUMN is an opportunity for us to strengthen collaboration with the community, as a provision to continue the transformation through the development of product and service innovations. Together with SIG, Semen Baturaja has become part of development in Indonesia,” said Suherman Yahya.

The implementation of the Healthy Walk with SOEs in Baturaja City was marked by the handover of the “BUMN Torch Relay” by the SMBR Employee Representative to the OKU Regent’s PJ, Teddy Meilwansyah and then handed over to the SMBR Directors as SOE representatives, namely Suherman Yahya and Tubagus Muhammad Dharury. After the flag-off carried out by the Acting Regent of OKU, the participants took a Healthy Walk with SOEs with the Route 3 of the IGD RSUD, Simpang 4 Ministry of Religion, Simpang 3 Post Office, Simpang 903 Ramayana, Front of Regency House, Tugu Batu Pasar Atas, Gudang Garam, Simpang Four South Sumatra Babel Syariah and returned to Baturaja City Park Square.

Apart from the healthy walk, the event was also enlivened by musical entertainment from local artists, gymnastics zumba and MSME bazaar. As many as 12 MSMEs are fostered partners of SMBR and MSMEs Locals at OKU also participate in promoting their superior products. Director of SMBR, Suherman Yahya added that this is a manifestation of AKHLAK’s values, namely Collaboration between the Ministry of BUMN and the community to achieve a common goal towards a healthy Indonesia.

The enthusiasm of the healthy walk participants was evident from the morning. Thousands of participants in Baturaja City flocked to take part in the event which also distributed a number of door prizes ranging from stoves, refrigerators, washing machines, smart TVs, and the main prize was motorbikes and other attractive prizes for the lucky participants.

PJ Regent OKU H. Teddy Meilwansyah expressed his highest appreciation for SMBR for its dedication which is expected to increase friendship, build togetherness and shape people’s habits to exercise. “Happy 25th anniversary of the Ministry of BUMN, we have felt the real benefits of the existence of BUMN, especially SMBR at OKU,” he added.

Together with this activity, SMBR also inaugurated the revitalized Ogan I Bridge. The inauguration was carried out symbolically by the Acting Regent of OKU H. Teddy Meilwansyah who was accompanied by the SMBR Directors and their staff. SMBR Senior Manager Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Gili Aprial Braja said that through the SOE TJSL program, SMBR seeks to provide real support for development in OKU which is our operational area. “Ogan I Bridge is an important infrastructure as well as an icon for Baturaja City which is also the logo of the OKU Regency government,” he said.

The excitement of this healthy walk was felt by Mutiara Anisa, a resident of Baturaja City who won the grand prize for a motorbike. “Thank you, because I didn’t expect to get the grand prize,” said Mutia happily. “Thanks to Pak Erick Thohir, the Ministry of BUMN, SIG, Semen Baturaja, PNM for holding this activity, the glory of the OKU community,” he said.

BANDAR LAMPUNG – Menteri BUMN Erick Thohir mengajak seluruh karyawan BUMN dan masyarakat untuk Jalan Sehat Bersama BUMN dalam rangka memperingati 25 Tahun Kementerian BUMN yang dilaksanakan di 234 kabupaten/kota di Indonesia. Kegiatan jalan sehat mengusung konsep Estafet Obor BUMN dari Sabang sampai Merauke dilakukan secara bertahap di 15 provinsi mulai 12/2/2023 hingga 19/3/2023 dengan tema “Bersama BUMN, Menuju Indonesia Sehat”.

Jalan Sehat Bersama BUMN 2023 menandai kebersamaan Kementerian BUMN dan masyarakat yang telah terbina selama 25 tahun, dengan harapan Kementerian BUMN dan perusahan BUMN hadir lebih dekat dan mengedukasi masyarakat akan pentingnya menjaga kesehatan, yang merupakan modal dasar pembangunan.

Di bawah arahan Menteri BUMN Erick Thohir, Kementerian BUMN menjalankan program “BUMN Untuk Indonesia” guna mendorong BUMN memberikan sumbangan terbaik bagi negeri dan rakyat. Sebagai bagian dari BUMN, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) yang merupakan anak usaha PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) turut mendukung pelaksanaan Jalan Sehat Bersama BUMN di Kota Bandar Lampung yang melibatkan 2.000 peserta yang berasal dari masyarakat umum, karyawan, serta keluarga besar BUMN yang berada di Bandar Lampung dan sekitarnya. Jalan Sehat Bersama BUMN ini digelar pada Minggu (26/02) di Lapangan Saburai, Kota Bandar Lampung. Jalan Sehat Bersama BUMN ini merupakan hasil kolaborasi antara SMBR dengan PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk dan Perum Jasa Tirta II.

Direktur SMBR (Fungsi Keuangan dan SDM), Tubagus Muhammad Dharury mengatakan menjadi bagian dari kegiatan Jalan Sehat Bersama BUMN 2023 merupakan suatu kebanggaan dan kehormatan bagi Semen Baturaja. Melalui kegiatan ini, Semen Baturaja sebagai bagian dari aset bangsa di bawah arahan SIG dan koordinasi Kementerian BUMN, berkesempatan untuk kian dekat dan mempererat hubungan dengan seluruh lapisan masyarakat.

“Jalan Sehat Bersama BUMN merupakan kesempatan bagi kami untuk memperkuat kolaborasi bersama masyarakat, sebagai bekal melanjutkan transformasi melalui pengembangan inovasi produk dan layanan. Bersama SIG, Semen Baturaja telah menjadi bagian dari pembangunan di Indonesia,” kata Tubagus Muhammad Dharury.

Pelaksanaan Jalan Sehat Bersama BUMN di Kota Bandar Lampung ini ditandai dengan penyerahan “Estafet Obor BUMN” oleh Perwakilan Karyawan SMBR kepada Wakil Gubernur Lampung Chusnunia Chalim, lalu diserahkan kepada Direksi SMBR sebagai perwakilan BUMN yaitu Suherman Yahya dan Tubagus Muhammad Dharury.

Setelah flag-off yang dilakukan oleh Wakil Gubernur Lampung Chusnunia Chalim, para peserta Jalan Sehat Bersama BUMN menempuh rute kurang lebih sepanjang 3,5 kilometer mulai dari Tugu Adipura, Pom Bensin Kartini, Jalur 2 Katamso, Tugu Pahlawan, Ramayana, Gramedia dan kembali lagi ke Lapangan Saburai.

Selain jalan sehat, acara juga turut dimeriahkan dengan hiburan musik dari artis setempat, senam zumba dan bazar UMKM. Sebanyak 19 UMKM yang merupakan mitra binaan SMBR dan UMKM Lokal di Kota Bandar Lampung juga ikut serta mempromosikan produk–produk unggulannya.

Direktur SMBR, Tubagus Muhammad Dharury menambahkan kegiatan Jalan Sehat Bersama BUMN ini bukan sekedar ajang olahraga saja, namun diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan core values AKHLAK BUMN ke seluruh masyarakat luas.

Antusiasme peserta jalan sehat sudah terlihat sejak pagi. Ribuan peserta di Kota Bandar Lampung berbondong–bondong mengikuti acara yang juga membagikan sejumlah door prize mulai dari kompor, lemari es, mesin cuci, smart tv, dan hadiah utama berupa sepeda motor serta hadiah menarik lainnya bagi para peserta yang beruntung.

Wakil Gubernur Lampung Chusnunia Chalim menyampaikan apresiasinya terhadap program yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan silaturahmi, membangun kebersamaan dan membentuk kebiasaan masyarakat untuk berolahraga. “Selamat Ulang Tahun Kementerian BUMN yang ke 25 Tahun, ini bukan perjalanan yang singkat, kita telah merasakan manfaat nyata kebaradaan BUMN khususnya di Lampung, mari terus bersinergi untuk menuju Lampung berjaya,” imbuhnya.

Kemeriahan jalan sehat ini dirasakan oleh Gilang Bayu, warga Kota Bandar Lampung yang mendapatkan hadiah utama sepeda motor. “Alhamdullilah, mimpi apa semalam bisa dapat rezeki nomplok sepeda motor,” kata Gilang dengan senyum gembira.
