The event started with a Gala Dinner which was full of intimacy between SMBR Management and all Distributors and Expeditors who were present while still paying attention to health protocols. The event was opened by Marketing Director Mukhamad Saifudin.

Management gives appreciation in the form of rewards to the three best distributors for their outstanding performance throughout the first semester of 2022. These distributors include PT Tunas Surya Bumindo, CV Samudra Panca Jaya and CV Sumber Niaga.

PALEMBANG – PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) held an online Public Expose on Tuesday (13/09) to comply with Indonesia Stock Exchange Regulation Number I-E concerning Obligation to Submit Information. On this occasion, Daconi as the President Director of PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk explained the positive achievements that the Company has achieved throughout the half of 2022.

After the Covid-19 pandemic, the growth of the cement industry in Indonesia is getting better. The total demand for National Cement in Semester I/2022 reached 29.4 million tons, an increase of 1.2% compared to the same period the previous year. However, this growth was not in line with demand on the island of Sumatra, which actually fell by 1.6% (yoy).

In the midst of the decline in demand, SMBR was able to record sales volume growth of up to 5% (yoy) or 890,136 tons. SMBR cement sales from the retail segment increased by 4.9% and the project segment increased by 1.9%. In terms of composition, SMBR’s cement sales are still dominated by the retail segment as last year.

The sales volume growth boosted SMBR’s revenue and net profit which also grew positively. SMBR recorded a revenue increase of 8% (yoy) to Rp825.5 billion until June 2022.

“In fact, SMBR’s net profit increased significantly to 495% or Rp. 15.78 billion compared to last year.” Daconi said.

In Semester I/2022, SMBR’s financial position was quite good, as seen from the maintained total assets, liabilities (liabilities) and equity as well as the final cash and cash equivalents (Nett Cash) which increased compared to the previous year.

SMBR’s positive performance is inseparable from strategic initiatives that have been implemented by Management, starting from the Cost Leadership through SMBRGO45 Program, Strengthen Market Positioning and Competency Improvement of Employees.

In the Cost Leadership initiative, SMBR carries out various cost efficiency efforts in various fields. Management also strengthens Market Positioning, including through structuring sales channels and expanding sales area coverage through digital platforms so that sales volume is able to grow amid declining demand.

BATURAJA – PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) held the Inauguration of Durian Gardens and Distribution of Plant Seeds to Adiwiyata Schools in commemoration of World Environment Day which fell on June 5, 2022. This activity was held on Friday (8/7) at the Baturaja Factory Area.
The event was attended by the Director of Production and Development (Dirprod) of SMBR Suherman Yahya, the Head of the Environmental Service of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency (DLH of OKU Regency) who was represented by the Secretary of DLH OKU Regency H. Bahruddin and Adiwiyata School Trustees in OKU Regency.

The inauguration of the Durian Garden was marked by a ribbon cutting by the Director of Prod SMBR and the Secretary of DLH OKU District. Followed by planting durian trees by both parties.
SMBR itself has always been committed to doing reforestation in the Company’s environment. This activity is one of a series of programs that have been carried out by SMBR. This durian plantation uses a silvicultural system in the hope of increasing the biodiversity in the vicinity.

Suherman said this is a form of SMBR’s commitment to continue implementing the reforestation program through the Silviculture System which has been carried out since 2017.

“SMBR has planted more than 10,000 trees in the Baturaja Factory Area which is in line with SMBR’s vision to become the leading Green Cement Based Building Material Company in Indonesia,” he added.

Not only the inauguration of the Durian Gardens, SMBR in synergy with DLH Kab OKU created the “Tree Planter School” Program which is an environmental conservation program from SMBR, this program supports environmental conservation and care through the Adiwiyata School. Adiwiyata School is one of the programs of the Ministry of Environment in order to encourage the creation of knowledge and awareness of school residents in an effort to preserve the environment.

SMBR gave appreciation through certificates of appreciation to five schools that won the title of Adiwiyata School in OKU Regency which had contributed and supported environmental conservation. This activity is also one of the Corporate Social Responsibility programs in the Environmental Sector.

“Not only a charter, we also give Plant Seeds to Adiwiyata School in the form of durian, guava, avocado, tamarind seeds. Hopefully the school residents have a healthy environment and care about the environment,” he concluded.

PALEMBANG – PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) successfully achieved a very satisfactory score of up to 99.87% in fulfilling the Domestic Content Level (TKDN) of 8 products registered through the Ministry of Industry’s Increased Use of Domestic Products (P3DN) Program.

There are eight SMBR products that have been certified TKDN including, White Clay (score 99.87%), Clinker (score 97.62%), Bulk Type V OPC (score 92.78%), OPC Type I Bulk (score 92.59 %), Bulk PCC Cement (score 92.06%), Bulk Type II OPC (score 91.08%), OPC Type I Zak 50 Kg (score 83.91%), and Cement PCC Zak 50 Kg (score 81, 01%).

In supporting the government’s efforts to strengthen industrial progress and domestic products, SMBR as one of the State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) has provided product consistency with a very satisfactory TKDN score.

JAKARTA – PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) succeeded in realizing its commitment to Good Corporate Governance (GCG) by winning the “Best State Owned Enterprise” award as well as obtaining the “Top 50 Mid Capitalization of Public Listed Companies (Mid Cap PLCs)” with Good Corporate Governance Practices. Good governance at the 13th Indonesia Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD) Corporate Governance Award 2022 held at the Financial Hall, Graha CIMB Niaga, Jakarta on Friday (27/05).

The award was presented by the Vice Chairman of Research IICD Lukas Setia Atmaja and received directly by the President Director of SMBR Daconi. SMBR is considered as one of the best public companies in its commitment to implementing Good Corporate Governance (GCG).

The event was also attended by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2009 – 2014 period, Boediono, the Minister of Communication and Information for the 2014-2019 period, Rudiantara, and IICD Chairman Sigit Pramono.

PALEMBANG – PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk (SMBR) has carried out the Indonesia Industry 4.0 Readiness Index (INDI 4.0) assessment with an assessment score of 3.0 based on the expose of INDI 4.0 verification results on December 10, 2021 by the Center for Materials and Technical Goods ( B4T). This score shows that SMBR is at the Mature Readiness level.

The assessment is in order to measure the company’s level of readiness to transform towards industry 4.0 in accordance with the follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of SOEs and the Ministry of Industry regarding the Implementation of the Indonesia Industry 4.0 Readiness Index (INDI 4.0) for SOEs.
SMBR is currently preparing for the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based technology. This program is one of the Company’s efforts in preparing the company to transform towards industry 4.0 and is a form of support for the Making BUMN 4.0 Program as part of the Making Indonesia 4.0 Program.

In 2021, SMBR has implemented the Intelligence Process Control System in the pyroprocessing (combustion) process and is planning to continue in the milling process. In addition, in 2022, SMBR also plans to implement AI-based Predictive Maintenance for main plant equipment.

“The improvement in the national economy in 2021, which is indicated by Indonesia’s economic growth of 3.69% and the growth of the construction sector of 2.81%, has prompted an increase in cement demand in Sumatra, which is the SMBR market area, by 2.5% throughout 2021,” he said.
