BATURAJA – PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) held a virtual Gathering and Halalbihalal event on Wednesday (17/4) with the theme “Understanding the Purity of the Heart in Gatherings”. The event was attended by subsidiaries within the SIG Group including PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR).

At SMBR itself, the event was witnessed in three SMBR operational areas, namely Palembang, Panjang and Baturaja. The event which was held in Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra was attended by Commissioners and Directors including Main Commissioner Alex Iskandar Munaf, Commissioner Hadi Daryanto then Main Director Suherman Yahya, Director of Finance & HR Rahmat Hidayat and Director of Operations Muhammad Syafitri as well as all employees/ti located throughout the operational area.

The award was received directly by SMBR Vice President of Corporate Secretary, Hari Liandu.

The award received by SMBR was for the success of the innovation and digital transformation programs carried out by the company.

Hari Liandu said this award was proof that the digital transformation carried out by SMBR was running optimally in accordance with the era of digitalization and industrial revolution 5.0. “SMBR has been carrying out digital transformation since 2019, starting from implementing a leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system based on System Application and Product In Data Processing (SAP) to integrate the company’s increasingly complex business processes,” he said.

This certificate was handed over directly by the Governor of South Sumatra Agus Fatoni to the Director (Operations Function) of SMBR Muhammad Syafitri at Griya Agung, Palembang City on Friday (29/3) at the 2022 – 2023 PROPER Certificate Handover event. Apart from that, SMBR also received a Blue PROPER Certificate for Kertapati Packing Factory.

The handover of the aid coincided with SMBR’s Ramadan 1445 Hijriah Recitation Activity together with the South Sumatra Provincial Government (Pemprov Sumsel) which took place at the Aryaduta Hotel, Palembang City, South Sumatra on Thursday (28/3).

This recitation activity was attended by the Acting Governor of South Sumatra Agus Fatoni, Forkopimda, BUMN, BUMD, other Government Agencies and the entire SMBR Board of Directors including Main Director Suherman Yahya, Director (Operations Function) Muhammad Syafitri and Director (Finance & HR Function) Rahmat Hidayat along with employees /ti and aid recipients.

The event began with Isha prayers and congregational Tarawih followed by tausiyah and handing over aid to people with disabilities, mosques, poor orphans and tahfidz students who were handed over symbolically by the SMBR Directors witnessed by the Acting Governor of South Sumatra.

PALEMBANG – The contribution of PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) in supporting employment social protection guarantees for workers received positive appreciation from the South Sumatra Provincial Government (Pemprov Sumsel). SMBR won the 2023 Paritrana Award at the South Sumatra Provincial Government level in the Mining, Manufacturing and Construction Sector Business Entity category.

This award was handed over directly by the Acting Governor of South Sumatra Agus Fatoni to Senior Manager of HR Operations SMBR Andika Lestantyo at the 2023 Paritrana Award Award Ceremony held at the Aryaduta Hotel, Palembang City, South Sumatra on Tuesday (26/3).

The Paritrana Award is an award given by the president and held by the Employment Social Security Administration (BPJS) to Provincial, Regency/City Governments, and large, medium scale business actors, public service sector businesses, and micro businesses that fully support the implementation of employment social security .

SMBR won the second best award because it was considered consistent in providing employment social protection guarantees implemented by the company to its workers.

In his remarks, the Acting Governor of South Sumatra, Agus Fatoni, said that with the Paritrana Award, it is hoped that it will increase the Compliance and Concern of Business Entity Employers with employment social security regulations and concern in providing protection for vulnerable workers in the surrounding environment.

“We hope this will spur enthusiasm to protect formal and informal workers,” he said.

BATURAJA – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) carried out an overhaul of the Baturaja II Factory, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra. The factory overhaul will be carried out over 17 days starting from February 22 2024.

This factory, which has been operating since 2017, has a production capacity of up to 1.85 million tons and is SMBR’s newest factory, whose construction took 26 months. It is claimed to be the fastest integrated cement factory construction project in Indonesia.

SMBR Operations Function Director, Muhammad Syafitri, explained that this overhaul was carried out to maintain the performance of production machines in optimal condition and maintain operational efficiency of factory production equipment.

“Every year, the factory must undergo a routine overhaul or comprehensive maintenance process. “This process aims to overcome damage or abnormalities in equipment by repairing or replacing damaged components,” said Syafitri.

Apart from that, to avoid work accidents during the overhaul, SMBR applies the principles of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) so that it is successful in achieving zero work accidents during the end of the overhaul activity.

SMBR Vice President of Maintenance, Eko David Irawan emphasized that the success of achieving zero accidents during overhaul implementation cannot be separated from the company’s commitment to K3 principles, as well as the compliance of all employees in identifying potential hazards in the work environment and implementing appropriate mitigation measures, accompanied by the delivery of safety briefings. which is carried out regularly.

The award was handed over directly by the Deputy Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemnaker RI) Afriansyah Noor who was accompanied by Deliar Rizqon as Head of the South Sumatra Province Manpower and Transmigration Service to the Senior Manager of Secretarial & Stakeholder Management SMBR Pramaja Gusnady, which coincided with the National K3 Month Apple Ceremony. 2024 South Sumatra Province at the Griya Agung Courtyard, Palembang City on Friday (8/3).

SMBR received two awards for its achievements in implementing the 2024 K3 Program, especially in SMBR’s two operational areas, namely the Cement Milling and Bagging Factory in Palembang City and the Baturaja Factory located in Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency.

The activity entitled “PDKT: An Approach with the slogan Sturdy & Hold Lamo SMBR” was held at the Representative Office of the Indonesia Stock Exchange, South Sumatra, Palembang City on Thursday (29/2). Attended by 51 participants from various groups including students and business people in Palembang City. The event was opened by Hari Mulyono as Head of the South Sumatra Indonesia Stock Exchange Representative Office.

On this occasion, Rahmat Hidayat explained the business opportunities presented by SMBR including business performance, ESG (Environment, Social and Government) performance and achievements. He explained that SMBR had shown significant growth after joining SIG in 2022.

“We felt a big positive impact after joining SIG because it was supported by consolidated supply chain management. We can see from production performance in 2023, slag volume grew 12.7 percent compared to the previous year. Then the volume of cement production also grew by 7.5 percent. “Then sales performance, cement sales volume continues to grow by 7.6 percent, this is in line with the synergy of the logistics network within the group which opens up opportunities for SMBR to increase factory utility,” he said.

In terms of market share, Rahmat said that SMBR had succeeded in maintaining its market share in the South Sumatra region at 33%. “We are still the market leader, including in the main markets, namely South Sumatra and Lampung Provinces,” he stressed.

In terms of financial performance, SMBR recorded financial performance that has continued to grow and be solid in the last three years. “Until 2023, there will be an increase in revenue driven by growth in cement sales volume and contribution from sales of derivative products such as white clay so that SMBR’s net profit continues to increase every year. “This has a positive impact on EBITDA which continues to grow,” said Rahmat in his presentation.

He continued, he said that SMBR also has a derivative product, namely white clay as a raw material for making NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphate, Potassium) fertilizer, which is one of SMBR’s business strategies. This white clay is produced from research and development carried out by the SMBR Team and has a patent. “Thank God, the white clay product that we produce has a patent issued by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, we are also the first cement industry in Indonesia to successfully produce white clay,” said Rahmat.

Apart from that, in his presentation he also explained ESG performance as part of company sustainability. From an environmental perspective, SMBR has succeeded in reducing carbon emissions thanks to the use of alternative fuels through waste management as a substitute for coal.

“We collaborate with waste producing partners, from that waste we manage and use it to make alternative fuel. This is also part of operational efficiency which produces added value for SMBR and of course environmental preservation. “Then we also won Green PROPER, this award is difficult to get, but we succeeded, meaning we managed the environment well,” said Rahmat.

In terms of social and environmental responsibility programs, SMBR carries out several programs, including Rumah BUMN Baturaja and ecosystem management in used land areas by managing the silviculture system to become a habitat for cultivating trigona bee colonies. “We help MSMEs in Baturaja through Rumah BUMN Baturaja, especially as one of our MSMEs has implemented environmental conservation through Paying for Coffee with Trash in collaboration with the OKU Regency Environmental Service.”

The assistance provided was in the form of 2 Pump Machine Units, 5 Nozzle Gun Units, and 5 Jet Nozzle Units. The aid was handed over directly symbolically through the SMBR CSR Unit to the Head of the OKU Regency Fire and Rescue Service, Aminilson.
