Proof of Commitment to Quality, Semen Baturaja Wins 2024 SNI Award

JAKARTA – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) has once again demonstrated its commitment to product quality and standard. SMBR has won a prestigious award with a Silver rating in the 2024 SNI Award event, organized by the National Standardization Agency (BSN).

This award was received directly by SMBR’s Senior Manager of Secretarial & Stakeholder Management Pramaja Gusnady who represented the company at the event which took place on Thursday (21/11) at the Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta.

The 2024 SNI Award was held as a form of appreciation from the government to companies and organizations that have successfully implemented the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) properly. The implementation of SNI not only helps business actors improve product quality and efficiency, but also strengthens competitiveness in the international market.

Pramaja expressed his gratitude for this award. “This achievement is thanks to the hard work of all Semen Baturaja employees who continue to strive to ensure that products are not only of high quality, but also meet the established quality standards, both in terms of technical and safety aspects,” he said.

He added that all SMBR products, both bagged and bulk cement, have been SNI certified and are produced with environmentally friendly technology. “We are committed to continuing to present quality products that not only meet customer needs but also support sustainable development,” said Pramaja.

Carrying the theme “Standardization for Sustainable Economic Transformation”, as many as 251 organizations from various sectors participated in the 2024 SNI Award. Of that number, 69 organizations were declared worthy of receiving the award after going through a rigorous assessment process.

The Head of the National Standardization Agency (BSN), Kukuh S. Achmad, said that the implementation of SNI plays a role in improving product quality and efficiency, which is important to support Indonesia’s economic growth.

“The implementation of SNI will open up opportunities for the adoption of new technologies that can increase production volume and help the Indonesian industrial sector compete globally,” said Kukuh. (*)
