Semen Baturaja Wins 3 GRC & Leadership Awards 2025, Demonstrating Commitment to Excellent Governance and Leadership

JAKARTA – PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR), a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), once again achieved national success by winning three prestigious awards at the 2025 GRC & Leadership Awards held by BusinessNews Indonesia Magazine.

The awards ceremony, themed “From Governance to Greatness: Leadership that Drives Risk-Intelligent Organization,” was held at The Westin Hotel Jakarta on Wednesday (November 12th) and was attended by more than 300 companies from various industrial sectors in Indonesia.

SMBR received the Best Corporate in Operations 2025 award, the Best Chief Executive Officer (CEO) 2025 award for SMBR President Director Suherman Yahya, and the Best Chief Financial & Human Capital Officer 2025 award for Director of Finance & HR Rahmat Hidayat.

The awards were accepted by SMBR’s Vice President of HC & GRI, Fitria Margaretha, who represented management. Fitria stated that this achievement is concrete evidence of SMBR’s consistency in comprehensively implementing Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) principles across every operational aspect to support the growth of the national cement industry.

“This award reflects our commitment to managing our business transparently, with integrity, and sustainably. We believe that good governance and solid leadership are key to maintaining the trust of all stakeholders,” Fitria said.

As part of strengthening this governance, SMBR is also developing and implementing Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICoFR) to strengthen the company’s internal control and risk management systems.

“Through the implementation of ICoFR, we want to ensure more effective and transparent company management, while strengthening a culture of compliance and accountability across all levels of the organization,” Fitria added.

This step is part of SMBR’s strategy to build a resilient, adaptive, and risk-oriented organization, while strengthening the governance foundation that supports sustainable performance. (*)
